America’s Wake-Up Call – Joe Biden on the Issues

Posted by

Today, Jill continues our focus on the 2020 election with a look at some of the most important issues facing us in this presidential campaign. Time is of the essence, with less than forty days to go until America gets to decide who will lead our country for the next four years. We think the choice is clear. Some, however, may not be so inclined to agree. We hope to help as many people as we can understand the stakes, as well as the issues we face going forward. Thanks Jill!

With just over five weeks left until election day, we’ve got a lot of ground to cover.  Today, we are talking about issues that matter the most to all of us.  Let’s face it, we need to stop talking about how awful Donald Trump is and focus on how much better Joe Biden will be.  It’s true that we must be concerned with voting Trump out of office before he turns this nation into a dictatorship, but it’s not enough just to throw out the bad … we must know what we are replacing it with.

There are dozens of issues that are important, but we really want to focus on the ones that are most important to everyone.  After giving it much thought, and narrowing the list, Jeff and I believe the following are of the most immediate concern:

  • Climate change
  • Health Care
  • Education
  • Racial Justice
  • Income Inequality

      1. I know! The thing is, I welcome debate from the other side. Unfortunately, I’ve been a little too patient and accommodating in this circumstance. At some point I realized I’d had enough. Debate is one thing. Complete lies, falsehoods, and disinformation is another.

      2. Brookingslib, you, Nan, as well as a lot of other people who agree with you have been sold a bill of goods. You are clearly very well-informed on much of what you say, excluding the vaccine issue, the gun issue and regarding Donald Trump and Joe Biden respectively.

      3. Brookingslib, you are just deflecting away from the fact that you are being fed false information and projecting that on to me. I know that facts don’t really appeal to you, however, the facts about so-called vaccines are not in your favor.

      4. Thanks, Nan. I love the “sources” reference. Fox should be forced to put those same quotation marks for “News”

      5. Nan, the difference is in the fact that I don’t have a confirmation-bias to the extreme. I am consistent, however, not stubborn. Willing to listen and learn, however, I am also willing to concede certain points if I am proven to be wrong with any original assumptions.
